Tell Us About Your Design

My knitwear collection concentrates on silhouette, construction and texture. A variety of knit structures, including multi color double jacquard, shortrowing, 2 by 2 rib, and retro rack with miss and tuck stitches, provide rich texture and unique drape appearance to the garments. I also mixed leather with knit to create a solid silhouette with constructional patterns.

I gather inspiration from sketching on a daily on a daily basis as well as experimenting with draping innovative silhouette and creating textile using different materials. Mixing different materials such as leather and knitting on different gauges with different yarns in different stitches provides me very creative horizon to broaden my vision.

Judges’ Comments: “Love that you are experimenting with so many different techniques and details. I think if it was a bit toned down it would be very sell-able. Not crazy about the shape of the jacket but you are definitely on the right track with beautiful ideas. Great work!” – Shirin Askari
