Here are our esteemed judges, all with a background and deep interest in fashion design:

Shirin Askari - Growing up in an artistic family Shirin Askari would watch her mother sew and and was making her own dresses by the age of 7.  Two months after graduating with a degree in fashion design from the University of North Texas, she received a call that she would be on the sixth season of Project Runway. After the show, Shirin moved to NYC where she began her own line of contemporary womenswear. She later returned to her hometown of Dallas, TX where she debuted her first full collection to a packed house. Now, along with doing custom bridal she owns a ready-to-wear line that can be found in stores and online at shirinaskari.com.

Heidi Dillon – The founder and CEO of THE FASHIONISTAS, Heidi grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where she developed a passion for art and fashion at a very early age. Many of her family members were artists, designers, and musicians — and some of her favorite memories are of watching her grandmother make young Heidi “couture” party clothes from Vogue patterns by designers such as Bill Blass, Yves Saint Laurent and Christian Dior. She is currently a star on the reality show Big Rich Texas.

By the way, I happen to think this is a very interesting contest. I adore fashion in all its extremes. I started out just voting for a relative but do have a couple of other entries that I love and have voted for them.
